Money! from Ringgit Malaysia to Thai Baht. We are rich! Thaddes so proudly looking at the moneh!

The night that we missed our flight. We were forced to get the flight on the next day. So... we stranded at LCCT. Cis~ We were right outside at the benches infront of the main door but it was too noisy and smelly. So many funny people that looked at us like one kind so we 'pindah kem' to the benches near the car park. It was cold. Heh... This marked the STARTING POINT of our journey!

Suvarnabhumi Airport

Waiting for our luggage.

The Airport - Where we were waiting for the bus.

Bangkok! The Victory Monument. The roundabout has 'jejantas lalu-lintas' one. This part seriously looked like Sg.Wang. Our attempt to take the bus failed. There wasn't any when we were waiting. So we took a cab. Cost us about 59 Baht to Khao San Road.

Lamphy House! We found this place at one 'celah' in Soi Rambuttri (Soi means 'lorong' which is small lanes within a road). The first night we stayed here. 770 Baht for a Triple room. So cheap!

This is how it looks like from outside.

Our Triple room! Double bed x1 and Single bed x1. Just nice for all of us. Whee! They don't allow 3 people to stay in a Double room. But it was cheap anyway. Clean and it has got a balcony. Owh! and AIR-CON!!! It was so hot during Sonkran. I don't think we can survive without one.

Some Thai food that I can remember it's taste but can't remember it's name. heh! Yummy!

We 'pengsan' right after our lunch. hehe. See the water guns? 100 Baht. But we had lots of fun even on the day before Songkran.

Coke Songkran festival? haha... can advertise some more.

The amount of people even before Songkran

Colourful Flags

Got our selves cheap beer. This cost 50 Baht if not mistaken. Anyway, the cheapest around here is Lao Beer that cost only at 39 Baht and that's how much? MYR 4 only!!! Its like half the price of what we are getting in Malaysia.

People selling water gun everywhere. You can negotiate for price for the big ones roughly 250 Baht. They also sell WATER at 5 Baht per bottle. But on Songkran, they selling only 3 Baht. heh. Thaddes reloading his gun.

Wheehoo!!! I am ready!!!

This kid is so young that he needs both hands to pull the trigger. Heh... He was trying to shoot me but slow la he...

Police will come patrolling the place to keep us - the tourist and the crowd from getting tooooooo overly high. Alcohol is cheap. heh.

The 2nd day - On the way walking out from the Guest House... Somebody kena lottery. Her face so sad.

There are plenty of people that will help you to buy tickets get information from at the Train Station. and this girl beside me helped us on the first day when we came to the Train Station for the Chiang Mai train ticket( We didn't get the ticket to Chiang Mai as it has been fully booked. Over booked since it was Songkran. Everyone wants to get to Chiang Mai as it is the most happening place for Songkran. Owh.. . back to the story. This girl was a great helper. She even lead us to the bus ticket selling point to search for chiang mai bus ticket. On the day that we went Chatuchak, we saw her again!

Took the MRT at about 39 Baht to get to Chatuchak. This sign was in the Train... and it says:" please offer the seat to those in need" Gosh... I wonder why does the yellow-robe-fella doing in that signage.

Woohoo! CHATUCHAK! the shopping heaven. The only thing limited at Chatuchak is TIME.

This boy was shooting water at me just because I had a water gun with me. hehe. So cute. Then I took a picture with him. =)

We gotta rush ourselves out of Chatuchak and get to the Southern Bus Station in order to get a bus to Damnoen Saduak for the Floating Market. =) It was evening.

Crossing the bridge with all the stuffs that we bought. wheehoo! look at Michelle.

We look like we are some Amazing Race contestants.

Right when we stop at Damnoen Saduak, there is this lady who came to us and tell us that we can get the boat the next morning for 400 Baht. Yea... Little Bird Hotel. I think we were their only customer at that night.

Syiok sendiri

The Boat Service - At 7 in the morning , the lady waited for us and lead us here. All she does was that she called the boat fella and 'load' us into the long boat and she said:'' Have a nice trip! Bye Bye thank you!" Then we paid her 400 Baht.

Coconut Pancake!

Manggo Rice at the market. =)

There's so much expression in this pic. The lao ah mah was saying:" coconut? coconut."

Erm... I don't know what is this. It's like the Kuih Sepit/Kepit but was with Icing and coconut parut.

Saw this little girl. She was smiling so happily.

Going to Kanchanaburi right after we done with Floating Market then we check out from Nok Noi - The little Bird Hotel. Look at the bus... It has got fan inside. It was so so hot that we then sitted down and pengsan straight away. This bus took us 1 - 1.30 hours to reach Kanchanaburi.

The Prisoner of War built the railway during the World War Two. The Japanese invaded Thailand and take over Thailand from the hand of British. Then They took the prisoners to build The Burma Death Railway. The Railway is 415 KM. Every kilometre cost 38 lives

A big Cross stands beyond the green green grass.

Whoever you were, we pay you the highest respect.
The Bridge over River Kwai. This is the toughest part of the whole Death Railway.

I am glad that you start blogging again. It is great that you are well again. Well... at least better than before.

It is okay to see it through the internet. From another end of the world. At least it is something.

The day that you go marked the line between.

We living the fullest that we can.

I might not know how much you have changed, but
at least we are still breathing the same air.

The weather in Bangkok is SCORCHING HOT! Just like the people. Now I understand why do they have Sonkran at this time as their new year. haha.

Bangkok - chatuchak - floating market - Kanchanaburi - Bangkok - Ayutthaya - Bangkok

I manage to get online on the rock today at the Ayutthaya Wat Phra Mongkhon Bophit (some super Old Thai Temple). When I said super old... It is a few thousand years old okay. Cycling around Ayutthaya... something different. God knows how many years I didn't ride a bicycle. heh.

Elephant dancing. Water splashing.

Yesterday I was at the Floating Market in Damnoen Saduak then to Kanchanaburi visiting the Burma Death Railway.

Sonkran - Water Festival, Bangkok is pack like sardin. The street(Khao San) that I am staying in has thousands and thousands of people. It took us about an hour just to pass through one street. It was madness. Water is everywhere and you are not suppose to get angry when people throw water at you. I got myself a water gun bringing it everywhere that I go. haha. That was fun. It is just impossible NOT to get wet. White yellowish flour mixing with water is just icky. They will have it in a bowl and spread them on your face... Just like putting the icing on a cake. For the first time in my life I had so many strangers touching my face. ick!

Plane - Train - Bus - Tuk-Tuk - MRT - Taxi - Walking

I would say... this backpacking trip is RICH. I mean... there are so many things that I have done and so many places that I went... It's an amazing experience. Now I am just stuck at the guest house getting online. It is too difficult to go out. Else... We will get dirty and the whole washing up process... is just too tiring. haha. No picture at the moment since I didn't bring my card reader.

Miss you all in Malaysia. ciao!

I AM IN BANGKOK FINALLY!!!

I was supposedly reaching Bangkok by midnight. Due to unforseen circumstances... my friends and I missed our flight. That moment was... sad. Seriously. Morning at 9:20 am we reached safely. :D

I can be contacted at 08... can't remember...

Baby Caitlyn. She finally smiled at the camera... or maybe the person behind the camera.

The first time I saw this kinda funny sign. It was placed right at the guy's dorm in MMU.

Giant.

6 mechanics fixing Marshall. The exhaust pipe... came off after they adjusted it. I changed a new one at another workshop on Tuesday. Ouch.

Innity's booth at MMU career fair. ehehe.. we had some fun time tearing down the booth. Lenard was helping out. Can you imagine we fit everything into a Myvi?

The best way to chill. Starbucks - My friend.
Got this shot in One U. A monkey sleeping... Ngam with this post la.

Sleepy. Had this funny dream last night.

I was being chased. Chased by something that I couldn't recall.

I run and fly at the same time realising that I have that superpower.

It was really fast. It was so much running and flying. Higher and even higher. It was fun and exciting.

Went through hills and mountain... River and longkang... town to the next town. So far. REALLY far.

Woke up at 510 in the morning. I felt tired and hot.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Searched online
for some dream explanation. I catched some of the relevant situation and things that appear in my dream.

It says:

Chase

To dream that you are being chased, signifies that you are avoiding a situation that you do not think is conquerable. It is often a metaphor for some form of insecurity. In particular, to dream that you are chased by an animal, represents your own unexpressed and unacknowledged anger which is being projected onto that animal. Alternatively, you may be running away from a primal urge or fear.

Running

To dream that you are running away from someone, indicates an issue that you are trying to avoid. You are not taking or accepting responsibility for your actions. In particular, if you are running from an attacker or any danger, then it suggests that you are not facing and confronting your fears.

To dream that you are trying to run but cannot make your feet move as fast as you want them to, signifies lack of self-esteem and self-confidence. It may also reflect your actual state of REM paralysis while in the dream state. (I feel my feet are unable to afford that energy but I still tried to go as fast as the speed and I was determined.)

To dream that you are running with others, signifies festive and prosperous times.(ya... I was running with a colleague + friend)

Tired

To dream that you are tired, suggests that you are feeling emotionally drained and stressed. Dreams about being tired usually reflect how you really feel in your waking state.

Faceless - That figure was faceless

To see a faceless figure or person in your dream, indicates that you are still searching for your own identity and finding out who you are. Perhaps you are unsure of how to read people and their emotions. And therefore are expressing a desire to know and understand these people in a deeper level.

Mountains - went through mountains, jungle and river

To see mountains in your dream, signifies many major obstacles and challenges that you have to overcome. If you are on top of the mountain, then it signifies that you have achieved and realized your goals. Alternatively, mountains denotes a higher realm of consciousness, knowledge, and spiritual truth.

To dream that you are climbing a mountain, signifies your determination and ambition.

Friend - One person was with me la... a friend at the same time colleague

To see your friends in your dream, signifies aspects of your personality that you have rejected, but are ready to integrate these rejected part of yourself. The relationships you have with those around you are important in learning about yourself. Additionally, this symbol foretells of happy tidings from them and the arrival of good news.

Coworker

To see your coworkers in your dream, highlights aspects of your waking relationship with them, including difficulties/support. It signifies your ambition, struggles and competitive nature. If the coworkers in your dream are not your actual coworkers, then they may pertain to some psychological business that you need to work on.

Jumping

To dream that you are jumping, indicates that you need to take a risk and go for it. You will find progress toward your goals

Jungle

To dream that you are in a jungle, signifies aspects of yourself and your personality that may have been inhibited. You may be experiencing chaos and the unpredictable in your waking life. If you are lost or trapped in a jungle, indicates that your negative feelings are hindering your progress, You need to come to terms with aspects of your unconscious.

River - The river is kinda muddy... but I can't really remember

To see a clear, calm-flowing river in your dream, signifies that you are allowing your life to float away and it is time that you take a more decisive hand in directing your life. A river also symbolizes joyful pleasures, peace and prosperity.

To see a raging river, signifies that your life is feeling out of control.

To see a muddy and/or raging river, signifies tumultuous times and jealousy in your life.

To dream that a river is comprised of flowing red chili, refers to the raw emotion, intense passion or anger that is flowing through you and yearning to be expressed. (definitely no chillies =P)

I've been seeing so many dead animals on the road since the past one week. Dogs, Cats, monkey, alligator... Good thing no human.

Weird.

"I think you will be very good working with NGOs"
"I think you will be very good working with NGOs, it will definitely suits you"

People say third times a charm. But this... God knows how many times that I have heard this. Anyway, it does linger around my brain cells for a quite a while. I am going to India this July. Yes I am very sure that I am more than excited. Friends gave me that one-eye-brow-standing-mouth-wide-opened-look and ask me why. I want to go to see more especially the Dalits. The IDEA of going to India triggered 2 years ago when my CCF mentor from MCCC(Malaysian Campus Crusade for Christ) told us that it will be good for us to go out of Malaysia for mission trip at least once. I did suggested India... but it didn't happen. They went to Indonesia. Well... its also another country that starts with the same 2 letters-IN. Oops.. no the first 3 letters-IND and ends with the same 2 letters-IA. I didn't manage to go because of my internship which was on the third trimester of the academic year ALSO the same trimester that they went to INDonesIA.

"India? for fun ah? Vacation?" Definitely not for fun. Oh well, I can't take fun out of my dictionary. Everything I do I bring fun into it that I can work better. Look... I want to feel them. I want to know what happening on the other side of the world. At least I get exposed to those. Mission... how does it like doing mission in other country. I heard, read many stories of people working in mission field, touches lives and all sorts. Colours. The richness of the colour trills me.

What can I do? I am just mere human.

Going all the way will make me pay at least MYR2500 for air ticket. MYR 1750 for registration which includes my accommodation and food. Where are my getting these money? I am not rich
or anything. Who would spare that much of money and give it to me and say here you go, these are the money you need for the trip. They don't get anything by doing so, and they probably think this young ciku is not gonna make any difference going to India. God is good. A friend of mine allocated 1700 alone for this trip. Another 2 CG friends of mine giving 300. I never worried about the money. I don't know how it's gonna come by... but I think it will. =)

I had a friend who just passed away during the chinese new year. Shocking news indeed. He went mental and he was weak... and he passed away in this pathetic place. He was serving in church with me in the same fellowship. We sang together, mamak together. I wonder where he would be. It saddens me. It still does. He was young. 3 years ago, another friend of mine passed away during that chinese new year too. One at 26 another at 22. Life is too short. I have much more in life to do. I am young, I have the energy.
I got to do this while I still have life.

I filled 2 forms for application. One with all my details, pastor's details, church leader's details. Another one is some health condition thinge that says whether I am fit to go. Submitted last Monday and I missed out so many columns. The dates, signature... and stuffs.*Kan cheong* I was given 2 choices for places that I want to go. But... I left the second column blank. I am the first to be in the India list. fuuh... do you know how nervous can that be? *takes a deep breath* They will call up uncle wong. Woohoo!

Another thing. Jabs... okay the right word should be vaccination for the trip. I searched and checked... It is advisable to have all these vaccines: Hepatitis A, B, Typhoid, Rabies, Japanese Encephalitis, Polio... and don't know what yellow fever... Can't really remember whether I took any of these. Hepatitis A and B... mmaaaaybee... if yes, then it was like 5 years ago. Gosh. Please advise if I missed out anything else. There are so many other choices rather than India. There are Japan, Taiwan, Thailand and many more. Aren't those even more revealing? You get to see funkey Japanese, cool taiwanese... Well... frankly speaking, I have no idea. But I live comfortably, see and meet cool people everyday. Maybe it was the 2-years-ago-going-India thing that makes me wanna go even more? I haven't apply any leave for that but I am very sure that I need to go. Somehow it is the urge.

I may not be making a big impact in that 2 weeks, and I may not know how will it be after the trip... but I will surely see things differently. Probably I can find my life purpose. If you are a doctor, sponsor me those vaccinations would be more than enough. I wonder how are my going to take those ouch-es!
Bangalore. I am coming.
